Mechanical Steering System

Overview | Mechanical Steering System | Hydraulic Steering System

Type of Mechanical Steering System

Nfb (no feedback)

Unfortunately, nfb type steering systems are not supported. The steering helm will have to be changed to a Rotary Type-S or Type-T drive unit or if these will not fit, replace helm with standard full feedback helm and use Type-R remote drive unit.

Full Feedback (not ‘nfb’)

Rack and Pinion Steering (line drawings of a typical helm will help)

1. Rack & Pinion Steering Systems (both Manual & Power Assist)

for 'Rack' (rack & pinion) type Mechanical Steering Systems you must change the helm to a feedback Rotary Type-S or Type-T system OR use a Type-R remote drive unit.

2. Rotary steering

Manual Rotary Steering - how long is your boat?

Less than 30’ 30’ and over
